Day Students

Day students are an important part of the Lower Campus and are expected to take part in all aspects of school life, including camping trips and field trips, performing arts, and athletics. The school schedule for day students, at all grade levels, begins at 8 a.m. Students participate in our all-school assembly on Monday and Wednesday morning, and then head to class. All students, day and resident, enjoy a nutritious hot lunch in our dining hall everyday as well as morning and afternoon snacks. The academic day ends at 3:15 p.m., except on Fridays when students depart at 3 p.m. Child care is available on campus until 5 p.m.

It is understood that when day students remain on campus after the end of the school day, they are subject to the rules that apply to resident students. Thus, if they are on campus for a weekend sleepover they must follow proper sign-out procedures.

Parents must call the school between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 am to let the front office know if a student will be absent. It is the student's responsibility to get and make up assignments. For more information about the policies and rules at the Lower Campus, please review the 2012/2013 Student Handbook.
