The opportunity to engage in community service at Ojai Valley School is a daily occurrence. Woven throughout classroom curriculum and dorm life, service learning opportunities abound. Students plan and implement projects such as beach clean-ups, disaster relief efforts, fundraisers for local charities, and they regularly provide educational instruction and materials to schools in developing nations across the oceans. Ojai Valley School’s Community Service Program is designed to enrich each student’s academic experience while developing critical thinking and leadership skills. Students realize their responsibilities as local and global citizens. Each service opportunity put forth by dedicated members of OVS aims to provide students additional opportunities to move beyond core curriculum and put learning into action.
