Chemistry in the Community
Chemistry in the Community is a chemistry-based lab science course focusing on applications of chemistry to environmental, technological and social issues. Students will recognize the importance of chemistry in everyday life and gain conceptual understanding of chemical principles. They will gain problem-solving skills through inquiry and a problem-based curriculum. Topics covered include water, the chemical properties, uses and contaminants; energy; gases and radiation; and climate.
